KEEN Golf and Tennis Classic

ANNUAL KEEN GOLF & TENNIS CLASSIC KEEN's 11th Annual Golf and Tennis Classic was held on Monday, April 19, 2004, at Indian Spring Country Club in Silver Spring, Maryland. In absolutely picture-perfect spring weather, over 150 golfers and tennis players had a great day of fun and raised more than $50,000 to support KEEN’s activities and expand its programs to help more children and young adults with disabilities. KEEN would like to thank its major sponsors: Altria Group, American Amusement Machine Association, Donohoe Development, Gatorade, John C Grimberg Co, Marriott, Nike, Sonneschein Nath & Rosenthal, and Venable. In addition to the golf and tennis, participants enjoyed a wonderful breakfast provided by Neal’s Bagels and S & D Coffee, lunch sausages from Nick’s sausages, and a dinner banquet, which featured a silent auction of sports- and recreation-related merchandise. Golfers and tennis players went home with good memories and great tans. Next year's event promises more of the same so stay tuned for more information on KEEN’s 12 Annual Golf and Tennis Classic. |
