				Amanda Polk Amanda Polk was born in Augusta, Georgia, but most of her childhood was spent in Florida. Amanda attended New York University, majoring in Political Science/International Studies. In 2009, she returned to NYU to complete a Graduate Certificate in Philanthropy, with a concentration on Fundraising, from the George Heyman Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising. Amanda also plans on returning to NYU for her Certificate in Grant Writing. Over the last seven years, Amanda has been focused on philanthropic special events. She has served on many committees, for many wonderful causes, including: Kids Enjoy Exercise Now--for which she sits on the National Board, Saks Fifth Avenue’s Key to the Cure, Nordstrom’s Knock Out Abuse Fashion Show, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Washington Humane Society (2009 WHS Female Washingtonian of the Year) and Suburban Hospital/Johns Hopkins Medicine. She has also taken on the responsibility of chairing the Suburban Hospital Gala for two consecutive years, the KEEN Warm-Up event, and the 2010 Fashion For Paws. She has co-chaired KEENFest and Key to the Cure, Amanda resides in Potomac with her husband, Curtis, daughter Cheyenne, and their two dogs, Kiki and Ryleigh. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, Florida Gator football, skiing and spending time with her friends and family. Back to Board of Directors.
