Vince Micone Vince Micone is a 19-year veteran of the federal civil service and a long-time activist in Washington’s philanthropic community. Vince has served in a variety of positions in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Department of Justice where he has managed human resources programs and initiatives. These included policy development and implementation; special events, ceremonies and campaigns; military reserve affairs; voting assistance; and community service efforts. Vince served as chairperson of the board of directors for the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area, the federal government’s workplace giving campaign, from 2002-2008. Under his leadership, the campaign grew from $47 million in charitable contributions to more than $60 million. He was appointed to the DC Commission on National and Community Service and served as the commission’s chairperson. Vince is active in his community, having served as a police reserve officer, an elected neighborhood commissioner, and member of the Washington Rotary Club. He began his federal service through the prestigious Presidential Management Fellows program. Vince was honored by Attorney General Janet Reno for outstanding contributions as a new employee. He also received commendation awards from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and U.S. Postal Service. Vince is a graduate of Arizona State University (BA) and the University of Southern California (MPA). Back to Board of Directors |
